SAVANNAH - Frances A. Sherman, 87, passed away on January 25, 2012 at Memorial University Medical Center.
Fran was born on May 27, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church where she was active in the CCW and Young at Hearts groups. She was strong in her faith and her trust in God. She was a kind and giving lady who loved her family and her country. Fran was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Benjamin E. Sherman.
She is survived by two sons, David Susan Sherman and Richard Patricia Sherman; five grandchildren, Danielle Chris, Gregg Terri, Dawn, Kelly Kyle, and Keri Mike; six great-grandchildren, Ryan, D.J., Austin, Christopher, Nicholas, and Benjamin; and many dear friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Nana, Today marks alittle over a year you have left us to be with pop and grandpa. I miss you each and every day and miss those once a week calls or sometimes even more just to tell you about Benjamin. We were just told the other day Mike has brain cancer. I hope you can keep us in your prayers and take very good care of us and hopes to getting Mike cancer free to live a long and healthy life with Benjamin and I. I love you Pop and Grandpa and miss you very much.

I am so sorry for your loss in the family. I give you my condolences and prayers to be strong in this time of sorrow. Fran was a lovely woman and very sweet I remember meeting her when i was really little and spending the night at her house with Kelly and Keri and we swam in the pool. It was a good memory of her for me. Now she is at peace and with her husband Benjamin. May God bless them.
